Two new designs

Hi all,
These are two my latest works, one a mandala and the other a zendala. To be honest I am not sure where that word zendala came from but methinks it is a hybrid from Zentangle, and it seems to fit this type of art very well. I love the black and white immensely, it really is my cup of tea and I took great pleasure in creating it, so much so that I already have about 6 more designs to do in the same vein. I used a black drawing pen in various nib widths and a silver one to add some shine and sparkle and the mandala was created in Derwent pencils on Stonehenge again with some gold pen. Both of these will be available in my zazzle shop as T shirts, mugs, mouse mats etc in the next day or so.

Hi all,
This is my current Celestial Kitty and still a WIP. Got to say I really like this one, especially the way the fur has been done and I chose the buff coloured Stonehenge paper to use which will enhance the brown/terracotta/ochre/orange colours that I will be using.

Feeling better

Hi all,
Firstly I would like to say thank you to all the well wishers and comments on my previous post, and although I am not 100% right, I am feeling a alot better than I was. The trouble with this sort of thing is that it does not go away completely, you just learn to live with it and make adjustments to your lifestyle as and when needed. Sadly there was another casualty of this because I had to give up taking my friends dog out for her long daily walk which in its self is manageable , but the walk was up and down a very steep hill, which was not. As for my two terrors because of Poo Poos age ( he is now 12 years old ) he just plods to the park ( 5 minutes away) and has a sniff and a wander, and Bluebell well she has to be kept leashed for the foreseeable future at this location...... I hear you ask why ! Well running adjacent to our park is a section of woodland that up till late last year was open to the public for walkers, dogs, hikers etc but recently a local landowner purchased it and has decided to use it for his own devices, and has been fenced off. Two weeks ago in a hair raising situation I found out what he was using it for......a herd of deer...... no signs or indication that they were in there ! There is still a public path that can be used and it was this that I was merrily walking along with dogs in tow when I realised that I was missing one....of course that had to be Bluebell ! I could hear her yapping away and thought she was off chasing a squirrel, but soon enough I found out that she had gotten in under the fence and was stalking the deer which were running around the pen like lunatics......I was horrified as the male stag could be a bit nasty and no matter how hard I tried to get over the blasted 6 foot high fence I could not, plus I had my friends dog with me who was panicking a little ! I called in reinforcements in the shape of a friend who was able to get over the fence and grab hold of Bluebell, who by this time was completely out of puff ! I cannot tell you how relieved I was to know that she was ok and not been turfed over some deers antlers ! Of course the deer did what comes naturally to them panic and run, and I am glad that none of them got hurt either. In a way it is sad that she cannot go off the lead over the park, because she has been doing so well in her recall and has started to really settle down, but after this incident the risk is too great, so I will save the runs for when we go to the beach !

The picture is an ACEO which I did whilst resting up on the bed and will be added to my Abstract series.
