More GSD

Hi all,
Amongst the chaos of moving I have found the time to work a little more on Troy. It is not going the way I had hoped, and at the moment is still in what I call its ugly stage, so I am seeing all the faults with it. I like the photo but wish I had not taken it such bright sunlight as it is picking up all the heavy shadows, not something I normally do, but in that particular situation unavoidable, so I am going to use a bit of creative license to remedy that. The colours I am using are peach beige, brown ochre,beige sienna,burnt ochre,burnt umber,brown umber and a few greys. As it goes on there will be a few more colours added for the tongue etc, but those listed today are the base colours.

Moving

Hi all,
Many apologies for late updates on Troy, but I have a very good reason for this, and that is I am moving. It has been in the pipeline for a while now, but in the last few weeks it has come together very quickly and I am now on a very tight schedule. Blog posts may occur and if they do it will be intermittent for a few weeks until I get my broadband sorted, and of course I shall be super busy will all the other stuff which comes with moving.
I will post when possible and hope you will all check back in with me soonish until then be well and happy.

German Shepherd Update

Hi all
From a very cold and snowy UK ! As I sit here typing this I am looking out of my window with Bluebell perched up here beside me, watching the snow coming down, and I cannot remember the last time it fell like this. This was predicted by out weather forecasters, and they issued a "severe weather warning event" which is a new one one me, but as usual the UK does not seem to deal very well with conditions like this. As I live off the beaten track and high up a hill the traffic has been very little, but on the odd occasion, especially last night I did hear one or two lunatics coming along obviously thinking they were at Brands Hatch.....will they never learn !

So I am staying put for a while, and thought it was about time that I got on with Troys picture, which should of been started last week, but I am having alot of fun designing some Mandalas/Zendalas, and lost track of time a little, which is what happens alot when I am doing these. I have started to see spot,dots,zig zags etc, in front of my eyes and thought I would leave it alone for a bit but if you fancy a look see at what I have been doing then click here Mystic Mandalas.
Since not doing too much pet portrait work, I seem to have struggled a little with getting started, and the eye has been done about four times so far, and as far as I am not happy with it totally I am going to continue and see how it progresses, but this is could be a candidate for the bin ! The scan is a bit dodgy, sorry for that, but I will post up a better update later on with a list of colours that I am using.....in the meantime my stomach tells me I need feeding so off for a sarnie and a drink !
